Spray for Premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation probably affects as many as 33% of  men ages 18 to 59 in the U.S., about twice as many as those who suffer from erectile dysfunction. [1] Premature ejaculation can have a powerful negative impact on the emotional and sexual lives of men and their partners. [4]

Some doctors prescribe anesthetic creams for off-label use to delay ejaculation, but such creams require 45 minutes to work and the man must use a condom to prevent the anesthetic from numbing his partner. [1]

A spray, dubbed PSD502, containing lidocaine and prilocaine applied five minutes before sex, helps men overcome premature ejaculation. [2]

Ira Sharlip, MD, tells WebMD. “In men using the product, the incidence of penile anesthesia is 1% or 2%.” While, about 0.5% of female partners report decreased feeling in the vagina. [2]

The men on average had climaxed less than a minute into intercourse before the spray. Using the spray for three months, 60 percent of the men lasted more than three minutes. [3]
