Davalos A et al, Hospital Ramon y Cajal, Madrid, Spain:

Grape juice is an important source of dietary phenolics, e.g.
quercetin. [3]

Valerie Schini-Kerth, Universite Louis Pasteur de
Strasbourg, France:

Grape juice seems to have the same protective effect against heart
disease as red wine. Polyphenols in Concord grape juice activate
endothelial cells to produce nitric oxide which helps to protect
against cardiovascular disease and to maintain healthy blood
vessels and blood pressure. [2]
Davalos A et al, Universidad de Alcala, Madrid, Spain:

Red grape juice (RGJ) polyphenols have been shown to reduce
circulating levels of LDL cholesterol and to increase LDL receptor
activity. Red grape juice polyphenols disrupt or delay LDL
trafficking through the endocytic pathway, thus preventing LDL
cholesterol from exerting regulatory effects on intracellular lipid
homeostasis.

Castilla P, et al, Hospital Ramon y Cajal, Madrid, Spain:
Dietary supplementation with concentrated red grape juice
improves the lipoprotein profile, reduces plasma concentrations of
inflammatory biomarkers and oxidized LDL, and may favor a
reduction in cardiovascular disease risk. [4]

Twenty-six patients receiving hemodialysis and 15 healthy subjects
were asked to drink 100 mL red grape juice /day for two weeks. In
both healthy subjects and hemodialysis patients, red grape juice
consumption increased the antioxidant capacity of plasma without
affecting concentrations of uric acid or ascorbic acid; reduced the
concentration of oxidized LDL; and increased the concentration of
cholesterol-standardized alpha-tocopherol. RGJ supplementation
also caused a significant decrease in LDL-cholesterol and
apolipoprotein B-100 concentrations, while increasing the
concentrations of HDL cholesterol and apolipoprotein A-I.

Shanmuganayagam D, et al, University of Wisconsin:

Intake of Concord grape juice (CGJ), rich in polyphenolics, inhibits
platelet aggregation (PA), a risk factor for cardiovascular disease
(CVD), in normocholesterolemic animals and humans. They found
daily consumption of Concord grape juice attenuates
hypercholesterolemia-enhanced PA, blood pressure, total serum
cholesterol and development of atheroma in rabbits.
